Weblication® offers an SEO analysis based on Google search queries. The analysis is available once the access data for the Google Search API has been entered in the project configuration. The software provides the administrator with step-by-step instructions on how to set up this API in the Google Search Console. The Google search data is then available directly in Weblication®.
After the initial setup, Google usually needs one more day to provide the data. Weblication® then shows which search queries display your own content in which position and which were actually clicked on.
While Google Analytics is now increasingly being avoided for data protection reasons, the Google Search API is only integrated on the server side in the backend. This means that it is not used in the website itself and therefore has no significance in terms of data protection law
If you have not yet configured the SEO analysis, a message will appear with instructions on how to connect the Google Search API (see screen top left).
Please note that the domain that you enter in your Google account as the URL with regard to the search data is identical to the call of the SEO analysis (e.g. with or without www)!
The SEO analysis clearly shows you the Google search data for your websites.
