Language selection
Visitors to a site created with Weblication® CMS can switch from any page to any corresponding page in another language. Only those pages are offered for which a language equivalent exists within a valid publication period. Files set offline are not displayed as corresponding pages in the language selection.
The language selection is already included in the standard version and therefore requires no additional licensing. Only the number of language projects is determined by the license.
When selecting the language, please note the naming of the file and directory structure, which is much more flexible when using the Extended language management module at the same time.
Language selection
The same names in the file and directory structure are taken into account based on the language directory.
Example:
- /de/unternehmen/anfahrt.php
- /en/unternehmen/anfahrt.php
- /fr/unternehmen/anfahrt.php
Language selection incl. extended language management
If the language selection should not only function with corresponding paths, this is possible via the CORE add-on module Extended language management. The module extends the functionalities for the languages to include any path and file names.
Example:
- /en/company/directions.php
- /en/company/directions.php
- /fr/entreprise/ledirections.php
You can conveniently set the language links via the file explorer in the directory view, which is extended by this functionality if the Extended Language Management module is licensed.
