Use the Weblication ® Cloud to manage all data for a project together in the cloud. Every project employee in your company has access to the same data. Sending via e-mail or filing via FTP is therefore no longer necessary.
The company's project files are to be managed in the cloud. A project manager should be able to manage the documents in the cloud and therefore also edit, delete and upload them. A project caller should only have viewing rights to the project files so that they can also download them.
To be able to implement this, you need the following minimum requirements in the license:
As administrator, create the following groups via group management:
As administrator, create the following users via the user administration with corresponding group membership:
You can name the users, groups and the start path to suit your project.
Now create the start path mentioned in step 1 as an administrator in the cloud. To do this, call up the cloud via the Weblication® panel ('Personal functions - My cloud').
Store the directories outside of user-dependent cloud directories (e.g. /cloud/admin). A general directory is recommended, which is why you should change to the top cloud directory /cloud.
Create the desired directory there. In the example:
So that this directory can be selected in the web view, set the eye icon of the projects directory to green as administrator when calling /cloud.
As administrator, define the desired permissions for this directory at directory and file level. In the example:
We recommend creating a directory template directly for this directory area (here: /cloud/projects), which is set so that it can be selected for the web view . This makes it easier for you to create the subdirectory structure, which can look like this, for example:
If necessary, adjust the above settings to suit your requirements.
Now check with all users whether the desired options remain within the scope you have defined.
