Operation

'URL of the download server':

In this field, enter the URL from which the system should obtain newer software versions for updates, projects and Weblics®. By default, the download server for the final versions is stored here(https://download.weblication.de). To access beta versions, enter the URL https://downloadbeta.weblication.de.

To be able to obtain the download archives from the download server, an HTTP connection must be possible via the licensed domain using a PHP script via GET on port 80 from the web server to the download server.

'Allow auto-updates':

If this parameter is activated, the installation is automatically supplied with security patches or bug fixes and new
final versions are installed as soon as they are available.
This is done on the basis of tokens that allow these updates to be installed automatically.
If the parameter is deactivated, the token and therefore the authorization is deleted.

'Use PHP's own functions for packing and unpacking archives':

If this parameter is activated, PHP functions are used to pack and unpack archives. Otherwise, this is done via the corresponding modules (TAR, zip, unzip), which must be available under the domain - addressed via PHP scripts.
This parameter only appears on Unix/Linux systems!

'Create backups via TAR':

If this parameter is activated, TAR is used to pack backup archives. The backups are thus stored as an archive with the extension .tgz and can therefore only be restored in corresponding Unix/Linux systems with TAR.
This parameter only appears on Unix/Linux systems!

'Sender address of system e-mails':

In this field, you can optionally enter the e-mail address to be used for system e-mails (e.g. workflow notifications, tasks, notes, security e-mails, etc.).
If no address is entered, the following procedure is followed:

  1. If this field contains an e-mail address, this is used as the sender e-mail address for test sending.
  2. If the SMTP user name in the system settings (Mail server - General) contains an e-mail address, this is used as the sender e-mail address for the test dispatch.
  3. Otherwise, an info@ address is used for the called HTTP_HOST (without www).

'When using old browsers (< IE 10)':

Use this selection box to choose how to proceed when logging into Weblication® if an editor uses an old browser (older Internet Explorer 10).

Possible values:

  • Offer editor limited functionality
  • Inform editor
  • Inform editor and log out
  • Log out editor

'Check for new messages every X seconds':

In this field, you can optionally enter the number of seconds at which the system should check for new messages in the Weblication® message system (tasks / notes).
Leave the field empty if you only want the system to check when a page is called up. If a value is entered, it must not be less than 10 seconds.

'Delete log files after maximum':

In this field, enter the number of days when older log files are deleted for monitoring. Deletion takes place by calling up the server monitoring.
Depending on how long you want to have access to the log files, set the corresponding number of days (e.g. 30).

'Create non-existent favicon':

If this parameter is activated, the favicon.ico file is stored if it does not yet exist. It is stored when logging in via the Weblication® CMS login screen ( /weblication ).

'Create non-existent robots.txt':

If this parameter is activated, the robots.txt file is stored if it does not yet exist.
The file is stored when logging in via the Weblication® CMS login screen ( /weblication ).

'Cloud active':

If this parameter is activated, the cloud functionalities can be used within the Weblication® installation.
