To edit videos (movies) in Weblication® CMS, you can use a convenient video editing tool. Please note the recommendations for video files in the links below.
The sample projects use a Weblic® / structural element "Video" within the page editing, which can be used to edit the individual parameters of a video. A player for locally stored mp4 videos and an element for linking external videos are offered as Weblic®.
The default attributes are described below.
In this field, use the right selection arrow to select the video file that you want to embed. This must be a video file that is stored on the web space of the licensed domain.
You can use the magnifying glass icon to call up the linked file for preview in the browser.
You can use the trash can icon to delete the path of the file from the field.
Use the selection box to select the aspect ratio with which the previously embedded video should be displayed (e.g. 16:9 or 4:3).
In this field, you can optionally use the right selection arrow to select a start image to be used instead of the video image.
You can delete the path of the file from the field again using the recycle bin icon .
If this parameter is activated, the video uses the aspect ratio of the previously specified start image.
If this parameter is deactivated, the selected aspect ratio in the selection box above is used.
If this parameter is activated, a start symbol is shown for the video.
If this parameter is deactivated, no start symbol is shown.
If this parameter is activated, the video is started immediately when the page is called up.
If this parameter is deactivated, the video must be started by the page visitor by clicking on it.
Please note the recommendations for video files in the further links below!
If this parameter is activated, the video is already loaded in the background when the page is called up. In this way, a video can be played more quickly at the start because sequences are already loaded in the browser in advance (pseudo streaming). However, this can have a negative impact on the performance of the page, as it immediately starts loading the video in the background when the page is called up!
If this parameter is deactivated, the video is only loaded when the page visitor clicks on it.

Use the selection box to choose how the embedded video should be opened (e.g. Embedded, Fancybox, ...).
