Weblics® / CSS-Only

Weblics® are pre-configured and ready-to-run web applications for use in an Internet or intranet presence managed with Weblication®.

With just a few clicks, you can integrate applications such as image galleries, event calendars, newsletter forms, etc. into your website and use them immediately. Thanks to the open source code and numerous CSS-only variants, these applications can be individually adapted and modified to meet customer requirements.

Weblics® supports you in the development and management of your web projects in several ways:

    No more time-consuming searches in developer and support forums for a desired functionality. Simply download the appropriate Weblic®, adapt it to your needs and integrate it into your website - done!
  • Cost savings
    Every new program line costs additional money and carries an increased risk of errors. So why reinvent the wheel? There are many tested and executable Weblics® to choose from.

  • Flexibility
    The open source code allows you to make individual changes to the input and output templates. This allows you to customize the look and feel of all Weblics® to suit any project.

Many Weblics® are already implemented as standard with numerous different variants(CSS-only). Our aim is that an application (a Weblic®) can be adapted to individual ideas purely via CSS. In this case, an adaptation in the XSL template is not necessary and a Weblic® remains updateable.
For central Weblics®, such as those mentioned below, we try to implement this particularly strictly:

For these Weblics® in particular, we recommend avoiding customization in the standard XSL template and making adjustments purely via CSS. If a desired variant is missing, please contact support first with a precise description of your desired variant. In many cases, the desired variant for Weblic® can be provided in the standard or ways for implementation can be shown. If a customization cannot be implemented using CSS alone, it is best to create a copy of the XSL template and store the template with its own name and type parallel to the standard template.

A Weblic® is made available pre-configured via the Weblics® portal and the BASE. Most Weblics® consist of structural elements (XSL templates), master template element, Weblic® administration file and optional scripts (CSS, JS, etc.). A Weblic® is therefore a structural element with related files that is available via the Weblics® portal. A structural element (e.g. also individually implemented) does not necessarily have to be a Weblic®.
